Let there be light but not in all cases.

The light from these lamps is the accumulative effect of the many bulbs. The l.e.d. lamps now in use for lighthouses consist of a stack of circular arrays of led bulbs. These lamps work well for fixed and flashing lights by not for lights displaying sectors of red to identify the bearing lines encompassing danger areas when the light is observe from the adjacent waters. The question is why the l.e.d. lamps are not suitable for sectored lights.?
