According to an article in today's Lorain Morning Journal:
VERMILION — The Inland Seas Maritime Museum in Vermilion is planning a move to Toledo.

The museum has created a memorandum of understanding to move to a facility in Toledo that is owned by the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority, said Chris Gillcrist, executive director of the Great Lakes Historical Society. “We think that an aggressive schedule of two years is possible” for the move, he said this morning.

The museum, now at 480 Main St. is too small for some exhibits, and its site offers no room to expand. The initial plan was for the museum to move to the Lorain lakefront, and the society has been leasing the potential museum site in Lorain for $1 a year.

I wonder if they will be moving into the site of the former COSI museum? It would make a great place to show their lens collection!

From some feedback I have received, it appears that the Inland Seas Museum is going to move into the Willis B. Boyer Museum Ship. For those unfamiliar, here's a link to the Boyer:

The combination should make fora super destination.
