From The Duluth News Tribune

The Alpena lights up the lighthouse on Wisconsin Point as it departs the Superior Entry on Thursday night, revealing scaffolding around the structure. The U.S. Coast Guard commissioned a project to restore the lighthouse’s eaves. Deterioration of the eaves was discovered a few years ago when the roof of the 1913 lighthouse was replaced, said Petty Officer First Class Thomas Frazier of the U.S. Coast Guard in Duluth. The project is near completion.
