The second GLLKA lighthouse Excursion for 2013 begins Sunday June 23 and runs through Friday June 28 and will consist of a complete circumnavigation of southern Lake Michigan with close-up water views of 60 lighthouses and water intake cribs.

Here’s a brief description:

This amazing excursion begins in Charlevoix where we board the 110-foot cruiser Keweenaw Star. Over five days, we will circumnavigate southern Lake Michigan to Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin, spending our nights in Ludington, Michigan City , Milwaukee and Sturgeon Bay before heading back across the lake to Charlevoix. Along the way, we will obtain close-up water views of every lighthouse and water intake crib around the lake, including breathtaking views of the Chicago and Milwaukee waterfronts.

The price for this unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience is $1,595.00 per person double occupancy, and $1,910.00 per person single occupancy, and includes all hotels, meals, transportation soft drinks and gratuities for five nights on the water and five nights in some great hotels. Non GLLKA members will need to add $40 for a 1-year individual membership or $55 for a 1-year family membership in order to participate.
