If you have ever been to Whitefish Point, you know the incredible job the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum has done in restoring the station and paying homage to those who have lost their lives on the Great Lakes.

The Museum recently contracted with Diekema Hamann, Architects to create a long-term management and building use plan for the Whitefish Point light station complex. The entire plan can be downloaded in PDF form on the home page of the Museum website at http://www.shipwreckmuseum.com/

Diekema Hamann has scheduled a public meeting for Wednesday January 23rd in Sault STe. Marie to solicit public comments on the plan. The folks at the Shipwreck Museum need all the public support they can get to help them implement the plan, and anyone who is unable to attend the meeting in person is strongly encouraged to send emails of support to glshs@up.net

Over the next week, please take the time to download and review the plan and send them an email of support for its implementation.

Thank you
