Saw an article on this awhile back ... http://lhdepot.com/digest/Storypage.cfm?storykey=1960

Was it sold and now being resold?

Yes Barry, it was sold back in '04 and apparently they don't want it anymore.

If I inherit a million in the next few weeks, you all will be able to come and stay at my new house. I wouldn't keep it a B&B.

Jacobsville is probably one of the best kept secrets as far a lighthouses go up in the Keweenaw. Even if you take the cruise on my boat the Keweenaw Star it is hard to see unless we are doing the lighthouse cruise around the point. I wish I had the money though. A good friend of mine from school, his family, used to own the land just to the North of the Lighthouse, and I thought it was one of the most spectacular spots on all of Lake Superior. I can't imagine they are going to have a hard time finding a buyer, but to run it as a business is hard because it is so remote. It probably end up as a private residence.
