%#&( Vandals.

Use to be a person could be put to death for destroying a lighthouse. Maybe it should be again.

Death may be a tad too severe ...

How about either forcing them to witness a sunrise or a sunset from the lantern room, complete with Gary's gulls and Mike's ships ... or ...
left alone at the light, endure a lake squall, complete with the hail and the gale, completed by the inevitable rainbow?

That might cure them ...
Believe those who search for the truth ...
Doubt those who find it ...

In a discussion on another forum, some of us came to the conclusion that community service, including payment from their own pockets for all repair materials, should be the punishment for the offenders. Maybe then they would come to appreciate what it takes to keep our lights shining.

Well if we can't kill them I guess this is the next best thing.
