I was looking for something else this past week and ran across a box of storm slides shot at St Joe in January 2004. I've scanned these - there are about 10 images that will eventually yield a triptych - and thought I'd share one of them here.

About three weeks after this photo was shot, the ice out by the outer light was about 9 feet thick on top of the pier :!:

GARY -- These are some neat shots !! Reminds me of when I nearly got washed off the St. Joe Pier in 2005 by a "Rouge" wave !!

Ah 2004... It was a simpler time.

Was this shot on Provia 400 Gary? I see a little grain I wouldn't expect in 100 or with the D2H.

It wasn't simpler Mike - it just seemed so. The seeds had already been planted (yours and the nation's) - they were just hiding while they germinated.
