The good news that slips by.

A forum to discuss lighthouses in the US Great Lakes Region
(Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota and the lake lighthouses of New York & Pennsylvania)

With all the drama going down at Ft. Gratiot, and the general state of the economy, I'd like to share a few examples of hope that bare witness to how much we do with so little. We all know about the success GLLKA has had, but here are a few other example, at South Fox Island Light in Lake Michigan, and Gull Rock Light in Lake Superior.

Thanks for sharing the sites ... I'll be returning to them many times ... the work accomplished is extraordinary ...

It was very impressive to see the before and after photos. In the case of both lighthouses it would appear that work still needs to be done to complete the projects. Wait a moment with lighthouses the upkeep and work is never finished.

Of course there is always more work to do, but I think it's important to recognize the progress made.

Yes, from the pictures and story a great deal of hard work has taken place. This is very good that so much process has happened.
