Just another example of some of the stupid decisions which local government councillors make in this country. Amateur Politicians without a clue.

What's so special about the car Barry?
I can't quite make out what it is. Perhaps a Magna or a Corolla.

Good Morning, Kevin

No, nothing special about the car ... just wondering
why it was there in the shot. Without compromising
the integrity of the photograph it could have certainly
been made to disappear. Thanks to others, I look at
many pictures with a more critical eye ...

Come to think of it, nothing really special about
the light, either ...

Hope all is well down your way ...

Got to admit, though......It does look unusual.....

I do like this guy's take on it......

"I've heard arguments that it's only made of concrete and only 35 years old, but if people had said that about the older lighthouse, it wouldn't be heritage listed and here today,"

From the other, local end, this comment......

“Not mentioned is the 22 meter diameter concrete base which the ship in the film sat upon, left behind by the film crew, growing out of the road along side the proposed " lighthouse". Now we will have a double eyesore to look at as we round the corner at the point. The only reason tourists will come to the point is to have a good laugh at the council.”
