The Peking is a steel-hulled four-masted barque that was used in the nitrate trade (from mines of Chile) and wheat trade. The ship is 320 feet in length on deck, 377 feet overall, 45 feet wide with draft of 16 feet. Sail area was 44,000 sq ft. The original mast height was 170 feet.

The ship is now on moored on display at the South Street Seaport Museum in N.Y. City.
