El faro de Playa del Carmen

A forum to discuss lighthouses in Canada, Australia, Europe and Asia.

While we were basking in the warm Caribbean sun, we visited Cozumel and hopped the high speed catamaran across the 14 miles of the Yucatan channel to Playa del Carmen... and yep they have a lighthosue there. For anyone straining their eyes to read the text on the lighthouse, it reads "El Faro" or The Lighthouse.

The sky blocked up a little... too much jpeg cruch!

Quite a unique lighthouse with that wrap-around outside staircase, Gary.

Ahhhhh, that's better. I knew we'd see some lighthouses sooner or later.

25 years is quite a mark, she is undoubtedly a very patient and forgiving person. (And I bet she gets a little shiver every time she hears the word 'Nikon')

Congrats to you both.

The word she uses in retaliation, Hersh, is Bernina ask any woman what that means if you don't already know....
