For any Lefton collectors here, this was posted by The Lighthouse Gallery (Nags Head, NC) on their site today...
LEFTON LIGHTHOUSES SOLD

We have been spectulating on some changes at Lefton and based on press releases on the Internet we found out that Lefton has been sold. We placed a call to the new owner, OMT Enterprises based in Gardena, California and were able to spend some time on the phone with their president.

It appears that OMT purchased certain of the assets of Lefton including the lighthouse line. The president stated that they were going to retain 42 of the rotating lighthouses and 60 of the minis. (We have lists available, just email us.) OMT is starting production in May on the new models and we may not see those products in stores until July or August. Until then there is limited inventory available.

This is not directly related but it was reported in the local papers recently that Dept 56 just purchased Lenox.

Then headquarters and distribution center for Lenox are in the Trenton area. It was also reported just yesterday that no layoffs are anticipated from this aqcusition.
