Was anybody else lucky enough to get a mailing from Wilabee & Ward in Norwalk, CT offering you the opportunity to purchase Lighthouse Patches for only $15.95 each (plus $1.95 S&H)?

Of course you get the first one for the low low price of $4.95. And these patches are hand mounted on a 9" x 12" Collectors panel filled with info about the light. You also get a Collector album with vinyl pages to portect your patches and panels.

These are not being offered to just anybody- only to those who they feel who might be interested- wonder which club or company sold my name to them?

The photos of the patches look nice - but not $15.00 nice. IMHO. Plus I've got plenty of patches already. this should not be considered an advertisement for or an endorsement of these products.

I got that yesterday. I didn't even look at the price of those things, I just put it in file 13.

I received mine today and also filed it. The S & H was $1.95 on the mailing I received.

I filed it as well- just thought it was humourous.

I added the decimal point in the correct place Al.

Dennis it might be interesting in a week or two to see who else received one and then compare what organizations we belong to that may have provided the mailing list.

I'd say the first one I'd think of is Lighthouse Depot .

I would not bet against that choice. I can't think of any other links between us and Stephen

This causes one to wonder if LH Depot shares or sells their mailing list?

[sarcasm]I bet Wilabee & Ward just cruises message boards, gathers names, and then does Yahoo people searches. I couldn't imagine anyone selling our names.[/sarcasm]

I've actually made slight alterations to my mailing address, this usually helps trace back where my name was sold. I've got things coming to Ross Tracy, Jr. Ross Tracy, MD (lol) but I've not had anything from my address that LHD has. They may or may not sell, I'm not sure, but I haven't received anything out of the ordinary.

I wouldn't discount a lighthouse group selling a mailing list. I do know of one "down south" that DID at least once before.

I only picked Lighthouse Depot because they are the only for profit entity I can think of- of course non-profits often make money by trading or selling lists as well.
