From PennLive.com ...
(AP) — ERIE, Pa. (AP) — A new state license plate will help raise money to save the Presque Isle Lighthouse on Lake Erie.

The money raised by the specialty license plates will benefit the Presque Isle Partnership, which is trying to save the lighthouse, built in 1872. The plates will cost $39.50, with $17 of that going to the lighthouse fund.

The group is hoping to raise $13,000 to match a grant from the Pennsylvania Historic Museum Commission, to fund a study about saving the brick house and light tower.

Organizers raised nearly $1,800 in July when they charged $2 per person to climb the lighthouse steps during the Discover Presque Isle festival.

Justin,

Thanks for locating it ... and eyeballing it, much like the faux Barnegat plate, it just doesnt seem to do justice to this light, either in setting, feel, or replication ...

... but if it accomplishes its purpose, I guess that is the primary concern ...
