Long Island Trip Photos!

Just got back from a lighthouse trip? Have you just finished photographing every aspect of one lighthouse? Post the pictures here! Lighthouse-related photos are also welcome.

I haven't been very active the last few months, it's been really busy here and at work. I'm gearing up for the spring/summer season with tons of plans already in place for MANY lighthouse trips and many new lighthouses (new to me anyways!)

Back in February I took a trip to Long Island for the first time, here are a few shots of the lights I saw (on a fairly blah day for photos, you know, stark blue sky, no clouds, dead trees, etc.):

Wish I had a little bit better conditions, but still a fun (and cold) trip!

Better to be there with bad conditions than to not be there at all !! Considering the blah condiitons, you got some decent looking shots Ross.

Hey Ross! Nice shots, despite the blah conditions. It's cold out at Montauk in February, huh?! Nice and windy out at the point. I bet it felt good, though, because you were taking pictures of lighthouses! I know when I was out at Montauk two years ago in early March, I didn't care one bit about the cold and wind. I was having fun. I'm sure you did, too.

Ross, I always loved "the end of the earth" feel to Montauk and I think you captured it here ... thanks for the array.

Very nice, Ross! Hey, a cold day at a lighthouse is still better than a warm day just about anywhere else!!! :D

It's hard to pick a favorite from those Montauk shots! The others are good as well.

Thanks for sharing!

Enjoyed these Ross. Beautiful even working with Winter's drabness. The first ones brought back great memories, and I get to visit Montauk in a couple of months for the first time. Your photos didn't make the wait any easier.

Actually, I enjoyed the images so much, that it prompted me to go visit your Lightdreamer site last night having not stopped in for awhile. I bet I spent a good hour there. That site was good from the start, and just keeps getting better.
