One other note - this shows what the results can be when different groups work together.

So everyone who put in money and or worked on this project gets my thanks.

From The Lincoln County News

A Preview Of Bristol Warrant Articles

Two articles concern the lighthouse. Article 13 asks the town to accept the gift of the Pemaquid Point Light Tower at such time as it has been declared excess property and offered to the Town of Bristol by the Federal Government, pursuant to the National Lighthouse Preservation of 2000; and authorize the Board of Selectmen to accept any related deeds or titles on the Town's behalf and take other necessary legal action related to the acquisition. Article 14 asks for a vote to raise $10,050 for the Lighthouse Committee.

When the lighthouse comes up for transfer under the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act, the Town of Bristol will be eligible to apply for it just like everyone else.
