Mass. lighthouse bell discovered in Maine church

Tim Harrison, editor of Lighthouse Digest, says the collapse of the Minot's Ledge Lighthouse in the waters off Cohasset and Scituate is one of the most notable tragedies in U.S. lighthouse history. The incident claimed the lives of two lighthouse keepers.

The bell from the original Minot's Ledge Lighthouse that was destroyed in a hurricane now proudly rings from the belfry of the Bryant Pond Baptist Church in Bryant Pond, Maine. Read the amazing story of how it got there in the July/August issue of Lighthouse Digest.
