LOL Well that's an interesting way of answering my question and yes I agree I loveddddd Splash, didn't care much for Mermaids andddddd I also got a big kick out of The Little Mermaid.

Oh I was going to ask you, when you went to Wind Point, do you recall a tree stump sitting on the beach just off the stairs leading up to the grounds? I saw one on the beach, sat there for a few minutes and just enjoyed all what I felt, heard, etc around me. Would you believe (except for two guys coming and going to get pictures) I was all by myself there? The caretakers and keepers were no where in sight. Wild eh? I should have stayed longer than the short time I spent there, there was actually no rush to get back here at home. Oh well maybe next time.

...
The aura of contemplation combined with solitude ... its part
of the connection, the attraction I feel with the lights ... I
welcome and embrace those moments, especially at sunrise
with the light working and then the need for it slowly diminshing
as the day sky brightens ...

I saw tourist people at but two sights ... Cana Island and Whitefish
Point ... There were people around Grosse Pointe but not to see the
the light ... I can assure you there was NO ONE else near me at
Crisp Point ...

KK, to your point, while I did walk the shore in front of Wind Point, there
was no tree stump that stood out to me ... I checked my pictures and
have no shots, either. Im so glad for you that you enjoyed the moments
you did ...

Here's a shot from the beach that I liked ...

Huh then someone either put that stump there or it washed up with the waves around the snow caps. Well either way it is there now and it was sooo calming and peaceful to sit there and enjoy what was all around me (the sun shining down, the waves rolling, the winds blowing). That is a great picture you took from the beach. I soooo can't wait for the warm weather to be finally here, tired of this white stuff.

The fellow that caretakes the place has a regular job elsewhere, I talked to him once right before he was leaving for his job, about the re-paint that they were about to do.....

I don't recall the tree stump either, but then again, I don't pay much attention to tree stumps.

Most of the time I've been to Wind Point, It has been very peaceful....The golf course right next to it is noisy in comparison.....

KK ...

I didnt mean to infer that it wasnt there ... I just meant
that if it was, it didnt make an impression to the point
of my noticing ...

We all see different things that stay with us ... I know
I was already on a sensory overload, taken with what I
had seen already and what I had planned over the next
couple of days ...

You will always have that memory of Wind Point ... how great
is that!

Heyyyyyy maybe it was a sign that it was there just for me to enjoy. Darn too bad I didn't stay long enough to meditate there eh. Maybe I would have linked with the spirits of the lightkeepers from the past. :)

Yeah, the golf course is on both sides of the road as you drive north towards Wind Point.....And the Southern boundry of Wind Point is the Northern boundary of the golf course...You can access the golf course to take shots from the south, just watch out for errant balls zipping overhead.....

...
Of the places Ive been, one of my favorite lighthouse / golf venues is
Highland Light on Cape Cod ... one cool light abutting one of the oldest
9 holers in the New World

Oh wow that is neat. Now I need to get over to Cape Cod besides Door County.

LOL Hey Chuck I can just see it now. Standing on top of Wind Point looking out over the view then suddenly (whistles BAM) ball bangs off the lighthouse, its railing or someone's head. Ouch. And to that you say "I warned you" ;)

Yikes I will have to ask my Dad about that course and see if he played there too. Sounds intense.

Right now no trips planned. Waiting to see if we get another sunny and warm day here then may plan to travel to Port Washington or Fon du Lac. Appreciate the help Chuckx.
