Well looks like the Lighthouse Walk is a no go due to my sister's graduation and a family get together the same weekend as it. I still hope to get a few more in spring and summer but will have to play it by ear.

Well, that's too bad KK......But you can still go and see most of those lights anytime for freebies.

Less crowded that way too........

That's true. I am loving this warm weather and hoping to get to some lighthouses next week in between work and all.

I like to go camping up there. I camped up in Peninsula State Park, took a nice bike ride to it. You can see a lot of the lighthouses for free, some cost a few dollars to climb. I love seeing Cana Island at dawn, to me that is the best time to see it. When you are driving up there you can see a lot of them right along the side of the road.

But you have to extract a tooth that is already ruined by plaques. It would be advisable to visit your dentist and have your teeth checked. Have a good day ahead. :)

There are two pips in a beaut, four beauts in a lulu,
eight lulus in a doozy, and sixteen doozies in a humdinger.
No one knows how many humdingers there are in a lollapalooza.

I remember debating, for timing purposes. whether to take the trip
down to Peninsula Point ... and I did go ... Had I seen this photo in
advance of my indecision there would have been no hesitancy in going

Chuck (if you are out there) ...

I remember debating whether to make the trek to Peninsula Point ... of course I did ...
The picture I saw did it little justice ... If I knew it could look like this there would
have been no debate ...

Yes, still out here Barry....Just been 'under the weather' lately, so to speak.

Are you planning a return trip anytime soon ? To pick up those missed ? I recall the weather wasn't the best at some of your locations. Maybe to make the walk to Waukegan ? (it's all on paved breakwalls).....Parking was a nightmare though.

As for Peninsula Point....My time there, I recall, was a little sad, as to the state of the light....I hope there is someone looking after it these days.

Chuck,

Ahh, family this year ... the complete array ... first grandchild coming in March, a daughter in law
in September on the high side ... an ailing dad and father in law on the low ...

Most likely I will have one major trip in me ... I have sufficient cc points for airfare and a car ... just
debating whether, most likely in June, to fulfill my Pacific Coast dream or again head to the Great Lakes,
this time turning left ant Escanaba ...

Waffling is in order ...

Ah, yes....There is always the Apostle Islands....Wisconsin Point....The 3 at Duluth....2 at Two Harbors (Minn)....Split Rock...Grand Marais (Minn)....Even get a ride to Isle Royale past Rock Of Ages. Return across the top of the UP for 2 at Ontonagon....Make the hike to 14-Mile Point....See the Keweenaw Peninsula Lights....Sand Point.....Big Bay....Indian Country....Marquette Harbor Lights....The 2 at Munising....Top off with a ride close to Grand Island East Channel Light.

A whole trip, right there.... :D
