Nice story, except for the (minor :lol: ) point that Fisgard isn't the oldest lighthouse in Canada! In fact, it isn't even close. That honor goes to Sambro Island (on the Atlantic Ocean). Nice to see some people read their work over before posting.

Just a point to add:

Fisgard was built in 1860, while Sambro was built in 1758. Sambro has it beat by 102 years. Even my local lighthouse is older than that (1855). Oh well.
