I'll believe how effective the "warranty" is when the tower starts peeling again. Temperature changes cause condensation on the inner brick walls. Condensation passes through the brick from the inside out, and the paint series as an impermeable membrane, trapping the water beneath it. The freeze thaw cycle expands the moisture, cracking the bricks and the paint chips off. From my experience it's inevitable, but I hope I am wrong.
The Lighthouse Service NEVER painted towers - the Masons would have shot them! Masonry towers were either whitewashed on an annual basis or coated with a thin parge coat which lasted around five years before it washed off.
