Hi - im new to the site. Im 15, and since 2005, ive visited over 100 lighthouses in england and wales...1 in scotland, 2 in switzerland and 3 in france, aswell as a few english lightships. Last year, i set up a website and have learnt quite a bit about "lighthousing" or "pharology". I was interested in knowing if anybody had any recordings of fog signals, anywhere in the world? i've found a couple on youtube and was wondering if anybody knew of any less well known of recordings that i could use on my website (Worldwidelighthouses.com) British sound archive dont allow people who dont go to a university, to listen to their clips... im trying to set up a fog signal archive page and more sounds that i have already aquired will be added soon. Thanks!
Also, i would really like some feedback about my site. :)

That's a tough one...In doing a search, I couldn't come up with much either. It would be nifty if there was an audio collection to listen to of all the different types, as I have always liked the sounds of them at night near the lighthouses.

Here's a couple links from Terry's site, Seeing The Light, about the Stevens and Diaphone Fog Signals (No audio, though)........

I think ive got about 30 identified fog signal recordings, ranging from canons, to bells and diaphones to modern electronic beepng horns. Hopefully i will be able to upload a lot of them soon.
