Hi everyone, I’m new to the forum and new to the hobby. Last Saturday I visited Montauk Point Lighthouse and had a very nice time. I’m interested in visiting more lighthouses. I was wondering if anybody knew of lighthouses with interesting stories attached to them; like hauntings, murders suicides, that sort of thing. Thanks!

...
KBO ... Welcome to the forum

Montauk is gorgeous ... hope you made it both onto the cliffs to
the west and below to the beach ... the views were spectacular.

Two thoughts ...

First, not knowing where you reside, here is a general list I found ... http://hauntedlights.com/haunted.html

Second, I always use "lighthousefriends.com" as a starting source for almost all things lighthouse ... You may
want to take a peek ...

Point Lookout is awesome, it is one of my favorite lighthouses! There is a great view from the lantern, and apparently you can see a caisson/sparkplug lighthouse from there...it was so far away I didn't recognize it as a lighthouse! Also, it is supposedly the most haunted lighthouse in the United States.
I love lighthouses and ghosts, even though I've never had a paranormal experience.
Point Lookout also has overnight investigations on Saturdays (but not in the winter). I really want to go on one, but the minimum age is 16. The people there said they would remember me if I came, because I had a lightkeeper's cap on.
...But that was more than a year ago :| .
