Colin. Close by but a different light.

Also, Castle Hill was related to the subject of an earlier discussion here on Lh.net.

Did the people at the resort give you any trouble getting onto the property to get up close to Castle Hill ?

...
Dennis, what I remember most about the "property" was, first time up there, maybe
late 70's, maybe early 80's, there was no "property." You needed to check in at
the coast guard station and ask for permission to walk the path (considerable in
length at that time) all the way to the light.

When I returned in the late 90's, not knowing better, I again went to the CG
station ... the seaman on visitor duty said "that's no longer on our property ..."

I found them very helpful as well but had heard some people ran into a problem.

It probably was either the wrong person or just a bad day to try and get in for them.

Actually, in Virginia, there aren't many rabbits either. Whenever I see a rabbit I get really excited, 'cause it's pretty rare. And there were at least three rabbits in the area around Castle Hill, so... I was quite excited

I've never tasted rabbit... because I just couldn't bear to think of eating one!
