What's wrong with these people ?

The article doesn't give any clue as to just why the city is balking at the placement of this light in Waterworks Park. Just what is the problem ? If they accepted the Light with that condition, why are they backpeddling now ?

This is a nifty little light. I'd like to see it in a better location, near the water as is it's heritage....Though it was right on the Portage River previously for so many years, and I never had any problems with access the several times we visited there at Brand's Marina.

The park location sounds ideal, so what is their issue with that ?
