Just returned from six days of near heaven on the OBX ... This was sunrise yesterday (Monday) in Kill Devil Hills ... my last morning there

There are two pips in a beaut, four beauts in a lulu,
eight lulus in a doozy, and sixteen doozies in a humdinger.
No one knows how many humdingers there are in a lollapalooza.

Great photos Barry. Too bad there's no lighthouse in them ;)

I like the center photo.
I noticed that the bottom pic also has Garry's seagull in it. Boy it gets around.

Kevin, --- If you look really close there is a band on its right leg. :D Actually it is a rather strange appearing gull but perhaps they grow them differently down there at OBX than up my way on the northern part of the coast. And, Kevin, there is a significant number of the younger generations who never see sunrise. They sleep late.

Im thinking perhaps a level horizon on the first shot?

Alan, was at Bodie twice and Hatteras once for attempts at dawn
colors ... the lighthouse gods were not cooperative ...

"Gary's gull" ... Its been awhile since an appearance by either has
been seen, heard from, or mentioned ...

Not only the younger generation, Dave, it's been a while since I saw a sunrise as well. I value my sleep.
Hi Barry, and yes it's a shame we haven't seen the big fella here for a while. I miss his photographic examples and comments.
