On the bright side, this flag debate wasnt "if" but "how" ...
There are two pips in a beaut, four beauts in a lulu,
eight lulus in a doozy, and sixteen doozies in a humdinger.
No one knows how many humdingers there are in a lollapalooza.

:D Ok Mates, Christmas is underway heading to all in the Lands around the Worlds. The light show will go on as before here in Seabeck. I get alot of kids now just by word of mouth to see the lights, it's not a big and hi flash show, just lights and some blow up Christmas rain deer and so on. But out here it moves folks in the dark area of the forrest and the lights bring them in. Different way of showing Christmas as it was back 20 or 30 years ago, and they love it..I put out about 2500 feet of LEDs, going here and there, up over what ever is in the way. No Hi Teck any thing, maybe that's why folks out here like it. They just stand in the snow and look all around the two acres that I light up. Ten 12 foot poll lights with lights coming down in the form of a tree with a big color light at the top, red, green, blue, and so on. Each year more lights or added, Now running power is a work of art, folks say I must own the power company,, "NOP''.. Last year I paid $35.oo more then normal That all, LED is the way to go. It's sad we can't put photos on this site any more, maybe some day.. So there is my story mates, Flags flying as well.. "Boats"..

Hey Boats ...

When I first read "blow up reindeer" I thought "how bloody, how messy"

Need to celebrate "Thanksgivukkah" next week ... I think we are supposed to
put the candles on the turkey ... not sure

We've had a few cold spurts, some flurries but overall mild so far here on the mid NJ Coast

Enjoy a warm and happy Thanksgiving

Barry

Hey Boats,
I don't know where you got the idea that you can't put photos here anymore. If you have a photo on your computer that you would like to post here just click on "Upload attachment" at the bottom of the post page, search for the photo on your computer and click on "Add the file", just like I did with the pic below (Oak Orchard Light, by the way):-

Boats has been missing in action (putting up Christmas lights and "blowing up" reindeer) for about one month. Should we organize a search on foot or conduct an aerial search, or both?

Hi all,

I just clocked up the 30,000th view on this thread and the 250th reply, all due to that little guy over on the left coast who has a lighthouse in his back yard. Good on you Boats.

Email me the photo/photos as attachments, Boats, and I'll try and upload them here for you. My email is
vk2ce at vk2ce.com
Photos are limited to 600x400 in size.

And what started this long thread?
Boat's pictures that he was unable to post.

"Our friend Boats sent me a few more photos to post, and I have elected to put them in a new thread due to the size of the old one. I won't do the narration here, I'll let the man himself tell us what we've got here. On with the photos....

How about that.
30,000 views would have to be some kind of record for a forum.

Probably on this forum, I'd say.

Not an all time record on any forum, I have a threads on a (not Lighthouse) forum that has 42,000+ and 38,000+ views...And there are five others (not mine) with more, the top being 65,000+ views.

But anyway, Glad to see you still ticking Boats ! Would love to see your fancy setup now, but know how it is with the Pics on this site....I don't have my 're-sizer' program anymore, but in any case I could only do attachments here. Indiana here has been in the deep freeze most of the month (it's 10 degrees this afternoon) and feels like February. A Happy Christmas to you out there on the 'wrong' coast from the landlocked lubber....Although you weather is probably better this winter.
